Embraer had a busy four quarter in deliveries in 2020. As anticipated, the company boosted delivery for many customers, ending the period with 28 commercial jets shipped, two more than the website had accounted for.

There were 21 E175 jets, one E190-E2 and six E195-E2 delivered at the end of last year, or 63% of the entire delivery volume for 2020. All E175s were delivered to US airlines, with a highlight to United Airlines, with 11 jets. The E190-E2 was sent to Helvetic while the six E195-E2 include the first Air Peace aircraft and five units of the lessor AerCap, which passed them on to Azul (4 units) and Belavia (one aircraft). Embraer also recorded the conversion of two E190-E2 purchase options to firm order for E195-E2 by Air Peace.

Despite the recovery, the Brazilian airframer closed 2020 with a drop in deliveries of 50% compared to 2019, when it had delivered 89 commercial aircraft. Embraer’s backlog reached its lowest level in recent years, with only 281 units – 132 E175, three E190, seven E190-E2 and 139 E195-E2.
