Breeze Airways completes initial fleet of 13 E-Jets

Nordic Aviation Capital confirms delivery of the 10th Embraer E190 to the new US low-cost airline

Breeze Airways, the new low-cost carrier in the US, completed the formation of its initial fleet of 13 E-Jets, ten E190 and three E195, manufactured by Embraer.

The 10th E190 was delivered by Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) recently, according to a statement from the lessor on Monday.

“NAC is proud of its partnership with Breeze Airways and to continue its relationship with an aviation entrepreneur Mr. David Neeleman,” said Jim Murphy, CCO Nordic Aviation Capital.

“We are grateful for our partnership with Nordic Aviation Capital and the introduction of the E190 to our fast-growing fleet. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship together,” added Neeleman.

The ten E190s, with 108 seats, came from Air Canada, while the three E195s flew with Azul Linhas Aereas, a Brazilian company also owned by the founder of Breeze.

The new airline debuted its flights in late May and currently serves 16 destinations in the US. Its differentials include an application in which passengers can customize various flight details, as well as direct routes between smaller cities that are not served by large companies.

Breeze has three E195 in its fleet

The initial 13 planes are part of the company’s strategy to take advantage of the summer and from now on Neeleman and his team will focus on receiving the first Airbus A220-300, which will be delivered new, through an order for 60 planes.

The first of these jets to be delivered in October, and Breeze expects to begin service with four A220s in 2022, establishing routes with the highest demand in destinations on the US East and West coasts.

Breeze recently raised $200 million in a new round of investment funds to capitalize on its expansion.
